Texts of wisdom from Moka

A new service offered by Moka aims to condense the wisdom of at least 76 best selling authors into text messages (SMS) which are sent to your mobile phone. So you can have Jesus on your Blackberry, Aristotle on your Treo or Silvia Browne on your Nokia. These 'crib notes' can be sent via SMS or email. The idea is that most people don't actually re-read even their favourite publications so they often forget the important bits. Moka aims to cater to this need by enabling customers to store their favourite words on a mobile phone or wireless PDA. The service does at present appear to be entirely North American orientated. The company says that text messages can be sent to all the major US network operators including AT&T, Verizon, and Sprint/Nextel. The goods news is that Moka claims the service – named mBooks – will be able to work with over 95 per cent of US handsets covering major brands like Motorola, Nokia, Samsung, Audiovox, Treo, Blackberry, and Sony Ericsson. Authors covered are mainly those touting self-improvement including Dan Millman, Wayne Dyer, and Eckhart Tolle. There's loads of religious works although not many from Muslin authors. Plus there's also hints and tips from Alcoholics Anonymous. How useful. Mbooks is available right away. It's $5.95 for a monthly membership or US $11.95 for three months. To check the service out send 'Help' to 79311.
