Wapple improves free ad-funded WAP sites

Wapple, provider of free, advert-sponsored mobile internet sites said it now offers a choice four mobile advertising partners. To date, most of Wapple's free mobile websites have been primarily funded by Google Adsense. Now, in addition to Google, there's: Admob, Admoda and Decktrade. The competition is obviously hotting up because Decktrade offers publishers a 70 per cent take on every click. For those who don't want other people's ads wappearing on their mobile internet pages, it's still possible to use Wapple's Canvas software for free and then pay £15 per month when the site goes live. So far, Wapple has built up an impressive list of customers including the Washington Post and Mobile Software Insight's old chums – Player X. Although the term is universally derided, WAP itself is very definitely enjoying something of a revival as the obvious way to create a mobile-oriented online site.
