Integrated POP3 and WAP from Commtouch

[February 10th, 2000] Commtouch Software the worldwide leader in integrated email outsourcing services, today announced the opening of its UK office.  This move follows a growing period of global success for Commtouch, which recently signed 101 new customers in Q4 1999, including 35 International sites - a 1000 per cent increase over the previous year. Commtouch successes in Europe include deals to power email services for Sportal (www.sportal.net ) the leading European-based independent provider of sports online, ZDNet UK, Excite UK, RTL, Scandinavia Online and MultiMania.com.


In previous months, growth accelerated to over 60,000 new users a day.  The expansion Commtouch has made in the UK is part of a wider picture for the Company in Europe. Comprised of 35 employees only a year ago, Commtouch now employs 250 and is growing rapidly. Commtouch technology is leading the way by evolving its mailbox into a web based platform for numerous integrated applications such as calendar, address book, instant messaging, folder management and unified messaging. Email can be accessed through any browser on the web, the mobile phone (WAP) or with the global download standard called POP3. 
The UK office will be headed by René Montsma, Commtouch Vice President and General Manager - Europe, who commented: "Commtouch is winning email outsourcing business for some of the largest and best known companies in the UK. We are seeing great intensification in the UK and Europe as part of the
